The inspiration for Love for Foliage collection is the presence of nature in our daily life. That little flower that blooms in the verandah, the fallen leaves by the roadside, the tiny plant that sprouts in the garden… The collection is made out of gossamer Chanderi and enhanced with traditional hand block printing. Tiny botanical prints of leaves, plants and flowers have been carefully hand drawn, carved on wooden blocks and printed with a water colour effect. The shapes are contemporary, further augmented with the use of micro-pleating and layering. The play of sheer and opaque elements invokes mystery and nostalgia.
