Yours Truly

The days are getting longer and breezy furrows are lighting kindred spirits off yonder. I write to you as the perfume of lavender sets the air. I sit here in the open fields, luminous and stretching unto the golden beams of the horizon. Whatever blossoms, withers and it is the transience that maddens us about the posies. I sit here and see you in my daydreams. The season is blooming. Lilacs and violets. Dandelions and peonies. The fleeting is here to stay for some time. Little flowers will tug at our hearts, airy cottons will flutter in the winds. We will walk hand-in-hand once more and the blossoming fields will forget us once again..

Buna's Spring Summer 2020 collection titled “Yours Truly” is dreamy, romantic and replete with optimism. It features exotic flowers scattered in myriad ways over floor sweeping tiered dresses and pleated midis. The painterly block prints come alive on sheer silks, Chanderis and Mulmul cottons highlighted delicately with French knots, sequins and threadwork. The palette is playful with a mix of turquoise, lilac and whites. Billowy shapes, hand pleating, bow ties and vintage inspired lace gives it a lyrical and whimsical quality.
