The Sky Within
Where the Sky Opens
We went looking for vastness and found it in Ladakh — in skies that seem endless, mountains that hold an ancient silence, and landscapes where light is never still. Somewhere far above the noise, the sky opens wide and the mountains keep their old silence. We came home carrying something quieter: the feeling that this same expansiveness can live within us, wherever we are.
Made Slowly, With Intention
The Sky Within is an exploration of that feeling, translated into clothing made slowly, by hand, and with intention. The collection follows the changing light of the Ladakhi landscape — deep indigo and midnight black before dawn, cloud-soft blues and ivory beneath the open sky, and touches of blush and earthy warmth as the day settles into evening.
A Language of the Hands
Handwoven mulberry silk, Jamdani, Chanderi, linen, cotton-silk, organza and merino come together in fluid layers and considered silhouettes. Hand-block prints, pigment work, appliqué, cutwork, smocking, embroidery and delicate handwork give each piece its own quiet language. A floral fragment, a geometric bloom, a hidden bead, an interwoven motif, a stitch or a tiny piece of crochet — details that reveal themselves slowly, inviting you to look closer.
Between Structure and Softness
Like a cloud resting on a mountain ridge, the collection moves between structure and softness. Tailored forms meet flowing skirts; translucent organza floats over handwoven layers; richly textured wool sits alongside delicate embroidery; relaxed silhouettes gather, drape and move with the body. Each garment carries the traces of the hands that made it — several hands, many slow hours, and a kind of care that can be felt.
The Landscape Within
At its heart, The Sky Within is not only about the landscape outside. It is about the landscape we carry inside us — the stillness, openness and quiet beauty that remain long after we have left the mountains.
